 During APRRC Singapore 2009 Rotaract Leaders in the Asia Pacific committed to create opportunities to work towards the establishment of an Asia Pacific MDIO. I think this would be a great initiative in the Rotary Year with the theme of Building Communities and Bridge Continents. MDIO's have been a very important part of Rotaract in the Asia Pacific and in the world over the last decade, With Europe, North America and now South Asia benefiting from MDIOs An Asia Pacific MDIO would help build and grow the Asia Pacific Rotaract community and will certainly help to bridge the Asian and Australasian continents as well as providing support and opportunities to Asia Pacific Rotaractors! In the weeks before APRRC and during APRRC myself and a yet to be advised MDIO working group will be compiling ideas and producing an initial constitution for the MDIO for districts to sign up to and to submit to RI for approval. The initial constitution will be revised at APRRC 2011 after it has been approved by Rotary International.
